Could the Ultra violet light from this torch damage children's eyes during a hand wash training session to children in a school? Thinking of the Risk Assessment that would need to be considered before the training. Thankyou
The supplier has confirmed that it is best not to use in contact with the eyes for a long period of time. We have searched online and found some more information for you. "The eye is more sensitive than the skin to UV radiation. Symptoms appear from six to 24 hours after exposure and usually disappear within the following 48 hours. No permanent damage to the eye is expected unless a severe exposure has occurred." If you are worried about the children damaging their eyes, we would suggest using protective eye wear.
