In modern janitorial systems, it is essential to comply with the latest cleaning and hygiene standards. Colour-coded systems have been developed to help prevent cross contamination of bacteria:

Red—washrooms and toilets
Yellow—washbasins and washroom surfaces
Blue—general low risk areas excluding food areas
Green—raw food areas
