Vinyl gloves do not contain any proteins or allergenic chemicals, which reduces the risk of the wearer and patient developing both reversible and non-reversible reactions. They are non-sterile and are suitable for non-invasive procedures such as changing pads, washing patients, general cleaning and for treating chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure sores, fungating wounds, abscess cavities and stoma sites. They are powderfree, which means there are no airborne allergens when donning, no residual powder is left on the patient and the chlorination process used to produce powderfree gloves also reduces the levels of other potential allergens.
