With the Olympics just around the corner we thought we would update you. If you are not already aware, the restrictions for delivery applies two days before an Olympic event through to two days after each event, with the dates as follows:

Olympic: 27th July until 12th August (inclusive)
Paralympic: 29th August until 9th September (inclusive)

Whilst the majority of these restrictions only relate to the areas immediately around the main sites, we anticipate significant knock on effects in and around London owing to security issues and an increase in congestion.

Whilst our delivery partners will be doing all that they can to plan for this disruption, there comes a point where it is just not possible to make every delivery every day.  A little bit of planning ahead, perhaps holding greater stock on-site and not relying on just in time deliveries will go a long way to ease the problems that could be faced.  We always like to plan for the worst and be happy when it is not that bad.

The Olympics is a huge unknown, it could end up being a storm in a tea cup or a tea cup in a storm !  Rest assured we will have the stock available in our logistics hub and as that is in Wiltshire it is extremely unlikely that it will be affected.  We will be doing our best to make sure that we are fully prepared - Are you?
